Over the span of 14 years, Chef Walter has woven his culinary magic in diverse restaurants across East Africa. His journey brought him to the esteemed halls of Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi, Kenya, where he served as a sous chef, leaving an indelible mark on the gastronomic scene.

Back in 2005, Chef Walter embarked on his culinary journey as a Steward at the Mediterranean Restaurant, where he immersed himself in the world of flavours and ingredients. A year later, his dedication and talent led to a well-deserved promotion to Commis chef, further showcasing his commitment to his craft.

In 2015, a new chapter began as Chef Walter ventured down the street to Villa Rosa Kempinski, where he assumed the role of Demi Chef. As he continued to elevate his culinary expertise, his journey within the same restaurant saw him climb the ladder of success. From Demi Chef, he rose to the esteemed position of Chef de partie in 2018, followed by an impressive leap to Sous chef in 2020. Throughout his journey, his dedication and creativity shone bright, leaving an imprint on every dish he crafted.

Currently, Chef Walter finds himself embracing the challenge of crafting elegant dishes with diverse culinary styles, a task that defines the distinctive character of Lucca Restaurant at Villa Rosa Kempinski, Kenya. But his passion extends beyond the kitchen. He is driven by an insatiable appetite for learning and a deep love for travel. With eyes set on the future, Chef Walter envisions globetrotting to explore new cultures and cuisines, eager to expand his repertoire and master the art of preparing an array of dishes from around the world.
